Pierre approached us to market, promote and sell our products across Canada at a time when we were looking to build the awareness level of our organization and technologies in that market.
After we agreed to move forward, Pierre took the initiative to expeditiously develop a focused and action-oriented marketing plan which we readily adopted and mobilized. I was impressed with how quickly Pierre learned and understood both our products and our markets. This enabled him to credibly engage and inform in dialogue with potential customers during conferences, trade shows, request for quotation inquiries and follow-up exchanges.
More specifically the conference campaign strategy component of the plan which included, and among other tactics, exhibiting at several key industry related trade shows within three of our business sectors: aviation, mining, and environmental.
The results of Pierre’s efforts to devise a plan, and then expedite it, resulted not only in a rapid increase in brand awareness of our company, products, and engineering capabilities, but Pierre’s efforts also helped us secure important work in the Canadian market.

Pierre assisted us on multiple occasions regarding specific functions and tasks. Amongst those, he worked with our team on two potential acquisitions, one involving a fairly exhaustive due diligence while the other was much more expeditious and called upon his specific industry experience.
Pierre’s services were again retained at a moment when we were having difficulties with the management of one of our subsidies in France. Pierre immediately stepped in and took on the position of interim general manager for a 6-month period, 3 months of which physically at our subsidiary’s offices. He was involved in every aspect of managing and reorganizing the company, putting out fires, responding to customer requests, evaluating product inventories, turnovers and 3PL providers to name a few. Ultimately this subsidiary was merged with a newly acquired company in Paris and again Pierre was involved with our team to assist in this merger including staff related reassignments.
Thereafter Pierre assisted us with one of our US companies when we sold a significant portion of that entity’s assets. His involvement and mandate was to resolve certain supply issues, terminate leases and other contractual agreements that were in place in various states, coordinate the closing of the main office and the transfer of certain retained inventories to a 3PL working in conjunction with another of our US subsidiaries.
We very much appreciated working with Pierre. His in-depth business knowledge and related experience enabled him to tackle virtually any situation that came up. He diligently kept us abreast of the situation while requiring minimal involvement from us in the performance of his mandates.

Pierre worked with our group on a material handling equipment project for the expansion of a concentrator at Arcelor Mittal in Mont-Wright. This design, procurement and construction project involved different suppliers and the monitoring of them became a critical element requiring weekly meetings. The monitoring of the suppliers in this project required a person like Pierre with strong organisational skills who could analyse, find solutions, make recommendations and take concrete and rapid actions for the realignment of the project. I strongly recommend Pierre and I am confident that our group will call upon him again for future projects.

Pierre was brought on to assist us with a due diligence analysis of a clean tech company we acquired which operates in the renewable energy sector.
The initial phase of the mandate was for Pierre to identify the company’s market position within its primary market, overall competitive landscape, and perform a situational analysis of the company’s products and services. Phase 2 of the mandate comprised of developing both a business and marketing plan which would strategically direct our market and business development efforts.
Subsequent to these deliverables Pierre was then retained to continue his mandate with us for the integration and consolidation phase within our organization of the new entity. Pierre was involved in multiple aspects of this integration and specifically took on both a strategic advisory role within our new acquisition and asked to carry out the main elements of the business and marketing plans which included: the company’s rebranding, the creation and launch of a new website, and maximizing our presence at key trade shows.
Operationally, Pierre was also asked to conduct various optimization tasks within our new acquisition which included among other elements: establishing our project cost breakdown standards, revising all commercial quotations and client proposals, and preparation of the entity’s quarterly market financial reporting to our management group.
